"Another Story"

Okay if you haven't read Polish vs Lacquer yet...you should. This is the Old Navy story I was referring to.

My girlfriend, Jackie, and I decided to hit up Old Navy. We really like Old Navy. We have never rushed this fast. Ever.

Let me back up a little bit.

Jackie and I arrive at Old Navy. Its 30% off everything in the store. Oh yeah! Talk about a very nice Sunday. :) We are shopping around. We start down stairs and then work our way upstairs to the clearance section. This is my favorite section. By this point we have our arms FULL of clothes to try on. Jackie's hubby calls! We are both super excited. He's still in boot camp, so every call is special. She is talking with him and we are both still checking stuff out. We don't want to start trying on clothes until her phone call is finished.

By this point our arms are full and tired because of our pile 'o clothes. We put the clothes down on a cart and I am leaning on the cart (okay, okay, I am practically laying on it ...it had been a really long day). An Old Navy employee informs us that the store closes in 10 minutes. TEN MINUTES! I look at Jackie and ask her if she can try clothes on while talking with her hubby because we don't have much time. We race over to the dressing room. We are trying on the clothes as fast as we can. At one point poor Jackie dropped her iphone and lost her call with her hubby (its okay, she called him back and got to say goodbye). The Old Navy employee comes back and is asking the dressing room girl if all the stalls are clear and Jackie yells that its not.

We end up grabbing our pile 'o stuff and jam outta there. All I took with me was a shirt. :( Neither of us got to try everything on. I had to pick and choose. I am indecisive so this was really rough on me. ;) Jackie took just about everything she brought in. We run down the stairs and get into the check out line. We both start cracking up. We definitely looked rushed and disheveled. We were rushing and trying to get out of there so fast that we didn't have time to finish getting dressed. Jackie came out without her tights on and I didn't get to put my belt back on. Who knew that Old Navy closes at 6pm on Sundays?

The night wasn't a complete loss. Kohl's is doing all of there clearance mark downs so we went there after leaving Old Navy. Kohl's is open until 9 on Sundays. I love Kohl's. Old Navy, I'm sorry, but you can learn a lot from Kohl's. Just sayin'.

Ha ha! Well I hope you didn't leave the tights and belt in the fitting room! Sounds like you had quite the day! :)

oh my gosh I have been there before...it is the worst...you just leave feeling stressed! I think that is why I do most of my shopping online now...that and I live too far from a mall! ha ha

I'm indecisive as well. I really need a lot of time to hem and haw or I need to come in knowing exactly what I had in mind otherwise I, too, leave with one shirt

Anna! It is an awful feeling. I had no sense of accomplishment (because, that is why we shop, right?).

I am glad that I am not the only one who would leave with just one shirt, Diva. :) Thanks for making me feel better! :) Although, after leaving Kohl's I had a great sense of accomplishment! I left with an entire outfit for under $40! :)
